Imjingak-Forbidden Bridge

Imjingak in Paju, South Korea, is a poignant symbol of the North-South Korean conflict, drawing many visitors who yearn for reunification. There, I witnessed a family performing ancestral rites, a stark reminder of the pain the division continues to cause. Despite political strife, the desire for connection among the Korean people remains strong, with many mourning family separations for decades. My visit emphasized the deep sorrow that the division continues to cause and the urgency for reunification amid fears of war.
