Pangyo Village

Two years ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a regional restoration project as a photographer. My mission was to capture the severity of the decline in rural areas. During my time there, I had a brief conversation with a resident of the village who informed me that it had been quite a while since she had seen a young person in that town. She expressed fear that her community was disappearing and that its decline was inevitable. This interaction deeply resonated with me, highlighting the growing disconnection of these communities from the broader world. That was when I felt the desire to merge my photographic skills with the goal of regional restoration.
